Citizens For A Better Grand Bay
Citizens for A Better Grand Bay, Inc. (CBGB) is a non-profit 501 (3) (c) public organization created to benefit the community of Grand Bay, a rural residential and farming community in South Alabama. The organization began in 1998 and was incorporated in 2000 to serve the community more effectively as a non-profit group, run by local volunteers.
By developing and completing community projects and hosting public service programs not readily available to area residents, CBGB has enhanced Grand Bay’s growth in a positive direction, providing a better way of life for the residents of the rural Southern community.
CBGB’s main projects include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the Grand Bay-St Elmo Senior and Community Center
- Hosting the Senior Citizen’s meal, activity and transportation program and the Senior Homebound Meal delivery program (Title III – Nutritional Programs)
- Providing computer education and internet access for residents of the community.
- Community outreach and education programs.
- Family Food Box Program -distributing food
